  1. Excellent…

Hating those Amit bits tho, was having an arguement wiv a m8 the other day about his newer stuff, i can appreciate the production & the fact he is doing something different… But its NOT d&b!!! Blatantly… Swastika etc, have little 2 no breakbeat, more fuckin breakcore/techno than d&b…

    ******* RANT OVER******* ;)

Apart from that, brilliant, don’t think klute could put out a bad mix if he tried really!

  2. Where are these guidelines/laws that state what is and what is not drum & bass? Id like to see them please :P

Amit blatantly doesnt sound like any breakcore ive listened too, infact have you even heard any breakcore?

  3. agree with MrQuito about Amit on some levels.. I quite like some of it with its echoy eastern vibes but its not really drum & bass to be honest…
Big Ste – ‘Where are these guidelines/laws that state what is and what is not drum & bass?’

Well thats a fair point and im all for diversity in the music… breakage, paradox, fanu etc are really pushing the sound forward, but alot of amits stuff (not including wicked tunes like motherland and village folk) isnt really drum & bass, its more akin to dub step or downtempo music

  4. strafe and mrquito have u lost the plot – not dnb?! wat u chatin about – obvoiusly not from london or ud know that dnb encompasses all types of drums and that distictive tempo in the beats! u could ask trevor macdonald and hed tell u that dnb! it may not be the dnb u like but its dnb! no doubt!

  5. Fair point.. the percussion is fast and drum & bass in style and I didnt say I didnt like it did I! As for the not from London… what the fuck? sorry to shatter any illusions you have mate but DnB aint a London thing any more.. its a global music and it has to be said most of the producers who are pushing the sound forward and making quality beats arent even from the UK, let alone London, so Balls!

  6. Pidgeon holes are for pidgeons……
More ‘diversity’, less ‘sounding like drum and bass’ please.

Dirt Box is a slammer, it has drums and bass.

  7. this is badass….internet junglists neeed to stfu up….jungle has always changed…

  8. You know its very intresting concepts to say that Klute new studio tracks isn’t drum n’ bass. I’m sorry if i myself have to say this because your very wrong indeed mister. I mean i was very skeptical about some of the comments made about this mix. but after a while of listening to this whole thing, i started to see what it was that Klute was trying to achieve in dn’b. He was trying to bring out more musical notations out of the music rather than just lying strickly on quick wittie basslines. Which is pretty nice to say the least, instead of just makeing warping synthized like techno gabber sounds, clashing and bashing with breaksbeats and shit. but i felt he was doing something more clean cut and clear conciencouss that made sense. And besides i think him pushing the sound forward in that type of perpective is better than that bullshit “Liquid” that some folks think is fucking gold my friend……….but hey thats just my own opinions and rating

    *******Ranting@#$%Liquid and Ranting On********** :-)

Well even if i myself don’t like Liquid dn’b. I still think Comix and Insite’s track is fucking sweet!!!
Both of there Tracks are Jungle Acid Jazz Dn’B, which one of the most rarest to hear these days. Since people dont’ like to explore the Acid Jungle side, except maybe Paradox which is my favorite.

Long Live Klute,Comix,Insite,Dev……..Long Live The Future Creative Intractive Depth of Dn’B

The real music to the 21st. century of breakbeat science.

  9. no one was talking about klute – it was Amit people were talking about fool!

  10. shut up DrPRO! 128kbps is a common bitrate for mixes published on the web. you better be grateful for this mix !!!

btw. stop posting the same unnecessary comment over and over again.

  11. anyone got anymore info on that break track before kentari – tactile?

    Its super dooper innit.

  12. amit is the man – i think he is doin great and it is nice 2 see dnb movin into different soundz.lets push thingz forward :) it is all good

  13. klutes mix is heavy, amits beats are heavy also…i think people are losing the plot, sayin is it dnb or woteva..we should keep pushing the boundaries instead of conforming to non existent rules!

  14. The beautiful thing about Amit’s tracks show through when they’re played alongside the typical dnb snare pattern. When your head is nodding to a mix and then you hear an Amit song with the emphASSis on all the wrong syllAAAbles thrown in the mix, you realize how nice the off rhythm is. I love Amit’s stuff.
