  4. lol Trust Darkone to get on ere wiv his built in catalogue!! lol

This mix is sick!! Shame the MC is well loud tho!

    x

  5. i hate these goddamn mc-s. non creative bla-bla shit. i see no connection, why mc-ing should be together with teknoid-ufo-evil-future-etc dnb. its like messing up a good wine with coke or whatever. btw the mix sucks too :D

  6. oyeh , Bang of subject but has anyone heard of a total science track that sounds like the krypton factor theme tune, it was the second track of the q-project @ watergate post, plz id it 4 me …..safe

  7. So sick of all this bullshit ravey double dropping, 1 minute into a tune mix 5 others in fucking mess that is championed by Friction & Andy C.. If I want to hear this I’ll take drugs with the rest of the topless sweating boggled eyed nutters. Lets have a bit more substance to drum&bass for fucks sakes… too much of the ‘mainstream’ (i.e. most played in clubs) stuff is sounding more and more like happy hardcore and less like jungle each day.

  8. i ain’t here to b!tch, but yeah a lot of mixes get killed by MCs-ain’t b!tching, just reporting  …

    GUESS WHAT ASSHOLE!!!!!

This is the same exact thing I had mention a long time ago. But because of the pricks who didn’t want to hear some “Truth” to what I had to say. Some people took the comments way too “seriously”. And didn’t think about the long term effects to what this whole dn’b thing is about???? My comments were about where dn’b was going which was based off another dn’b pioneer legend who had mention the same ill effects of the mainstream.

His name was Dev Pandya better known as “Paradox” who bases his music off the early 60’s and 70’s of drum n’ bass. Even he had mention that there were a whole lot of producers and DJ’s who are “Trend Chasers” in music. Whether drum n’ bass is produced and writtend in Britian or the rest of the world. The biggest question “dn’b fans” have to asked themselves is.

“Where is dn’b headed too in the future????”

“And what will come of it when these Music Styles Fade??”

I myself may not know where this whole sence is going, but I hope that it’s going into a realisticly ” in depth” intelletual musicial creativity in the future. So I hope ppl understand me on this if they don’t understand me on anything else.

    Thats all i’m trying to say…….. B.

  10. ah! got it. dogs on acid, right? sorry. but i was frightened. thought it could be something like Dnb+GOA and i hate Techno shit. Would have been very dissapointed of Friction if he’d be one of the guys who try to fuse DnB with Tekkkkkno shit.

  11. sorry for posting 3 in a row. but hey, what a bad vibe in this forum. yes, the mc is too loud – but i think that’s a recording problem. and hey – yes, i too think this mix is a big mess. But sometimes, stuff like that is good. And there’s tons of people out there which would fall asleep if everything would be high-sophisticated “very well” mixed stuff. Most important thing is that DnB has various faces. Otherwise it would be already dead which would be a BAD thing. Sad enough that so many people say DnB is boring, always the same, no diffrence between 2 tracks ……. I love it – you should too! peace

  12. sp was sick on this mix, but yea he was too loud. i cant see how sp can be to blame for this though.
not a big fan of these renegade tunes either, but friction puts the pieces together nicely as usual

and who the hell doesnt love a double drop, douchebags. that’s who

  13. Hard n heavy sounds by Mr. Friction sick:)
    Stay cool everyone
    Greetings from Portugal

  14. i know its been said loads already but seriously, why dont mc’s ever shut up??!?!?!??
Its so annoying, the whole mix is completely ruined by sp, fair enough in this case the sound is mostly to blame but i think in general mcs talk way too much. dont get me wrong mcs add a lot to a gd night out but sometimes i just wanna enjoy the music!

anyway this is an awesome site, keep up the gd work guys!

  15. that hardware mix was average, i heard them same tour in chch, nz was fkn slammin compard 2 end club.

  16. good mix, good mc. you can throw all your hate in, i like it. side effects > to shape the future? omg!

  17. remember everyone, this was recorded at a club – its not a studio set. it supposed to mash up the place! people at clubs like double drops, teases of old classics etc…
    i like it!

  18. Jungle will never die! Friction and SP:MC sound wonderful together! :O)

  19. Dear oh dear… So much negitivity people!

Don’t look a gift horse in the mouth. People in the drum & bass industry work long and hard to provide you with a scene with cult status and all you can do is pick and moun about it. I personally don’t like most MC’s but who cares, all I hear is the beats.. don’t need to take notice of mc until when I want to.. they are there to hype the crowd and are part of the whole drum & bass experience/atmosphere.. an atmosphere like no other that has reached new heights in recent years with help from the likes of Roni Size, Shy FX and more recently Pendulum who go mainstream to get new headz into the scene.. which keeps everything rolling for the future of drum & bass and a very bright future it is!
Are any of you dj’s? Are any of you dj’s that have played on that scale to a massive club? I very much doubt it.. I would love to have the opportunity but the biggest crowd i’ve played to is about 80 people and thats still nerve-racking, the adrenaline pumps through your body.. what levels of adrenaline do you think Friction & SP reach while playing to stupid amount of up for it people shocking out with an amazing soundsystem to cause dancefloor damage?! They probably wake up every morning pinching themselves and consider how dam lucky they are for doing the ‘job’ that they do!
DJ’s aren’t robots, there human. I’m sure dj’s like jeff mills & john digweed have made mistakes or had a bit of a clashy mix in a club before and they are technically amazing. Every dj has there off days.. doesn’t make them a poor dj!

Friction is a badman and is one of the most varied dj’s on the scene who truelly knows how to control an atmosphere. Thats the beauty of d & b, it comes in all shapes and sizes to accomadate anybody’s mood or taste and thats something no other genre of dance music reaches in this day and age!

The clubs are packed out every week for a reason.. think about it!

    Keep it rolling! ;o)

  20. Don’t think a side effect when you first start is going to be a permanent effect. I have one med I didn’t sleep for more than 35 hours after two days of partial doses of it. WBR LeoP
